1. Bitcoin Surpasses $71K Amid $880M Inflows into Spot ETFs

Bitcoin surged past $71,000, driven by significant inflows into U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs, which saw over $880 million in investments on Tuesday—the best day since March and the second-highest overall since their inception in January. Fidelity’s FBTC led the inflows with $378 million, followed by BlackRock’s IBIT with $270 million, and Grayscale’s GBTC with $28 million. The CoinDesk 20 index also rose by 2.65%. This surge in activity follows a recent period of low or negative inflows and coincides with a generally bullish market sentiment and positive developments in the U.S. cryptocurrency landscape, including the approval of Ether spot ETFs and favorable outlooks from the U.S. presidential campaign. Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted that ETFs have accumulated $3.3 billion in the past four weeks, bringing the year-to-date total to over $15 billion.

2. Historic Violin Once Owned by Catherine the Great Used as NFT Loan Collateral

Galaxy Digital and Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu have tokenized a historic Stradivarius violin, previously owned by Russian Empress Catherine the Great, to secure a multimillion-dollar loan. On June 4, Galaxy Digital lent an undisclosed amount to Siu, using the 316-year-old violin as collateral. Both the NFT representation and the physical violin will be held by a Hong Kong-based custodian until the loan is repaid. The violin, acquired by Siu for over $9 million in 2023, has a well-documented provenance traced back to Catherine the Great. Galaxy Digital's vice president of tokenization, Thomas Cowan, highlighted that tokenizing physical assets could revolutionize crypto lending by enabling loans against traditionally volatile assets like Bitcoin and Ether, with future potential applications extending to real estate.

3. MetaMask Portfolio Now Includes Blockchain Games Directory via HyperPlay

Source: Pixelmon

MetaMask has integrated a blockchain games directory powered by HyperPlay into its MetaMask Portfolio interface. This new feature allows users to find and play blockchain games directly from MetaMask. HyperPlay, which supports multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and Sui, has previously worked with MetaMask on a wallet overlay and community-developed functionalities. The collaboration aims to streamline the gaming experience by making it easier for users to access and transact in blockchain games. Notable games available through HyperPlay include Shrapnel, The Sandbox, Apeiron, and Square Enix's Symbiogenesis. The integration highlights the growing relationship between MetaMask and HyperPlay, as well as the importance of simplifying wallet interactions for both players and developers.
